“What do you think of that?” Cindy asked, pointing to a red dress on a mannequin in the store window.
Viola leaned forward to inspect it closer, and made a face.  “I’m not sure.  That shade of red seems a little too bright for me.  It would suit you perfectly, though.”
“I wonder how much it costs.”
“We can go in and ask.”
Cindy shook her head.  “I’m trying to convince James to let me redo the game room.  That pool table looks like it’s about to fall apart at any moment, and the paneling is ancient.”
“I don’t think that room has ever been changed since it was first finished,” Viola said.  “It could use it.”
Cindy nodded.  “I’d rather have it looking nice than get a new dress, no matter how pretty it is.”
Viola smirked at her sister-in-law.  “So you took me shopping today for nothing?”
“It never hurts to look,” the blonde woman replied.  “Besides, I needed a break from Nicky, and I know that you don’t mind some time away from Shirley, no matter how cute she is.”
“I can’t argue with that.  I hope they’re getting along and not causing Mama too much trouble.”
“I’m sure they’re fine.  Marsha loves being around the babies.  She keeps hinting that she wants more.”
Viola rolled her eyes.  “Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind having another kid, but not for a while.  Let her pester Cyrus and Georgianna for a while.  It is their turn, after all.”
Cindy colored a little.  “I’m pregnant again.”
Viola gasped.  “You are?  But I thought…”
“I didn’t want kids at first, but I kind of like being a mother.  It’s not as bad as I thought it would be.”
“Does Mama know?”
“Not yet.  I don’t need her fussing over me like she did the last time.”
“I hope you have a little girl.  They’re so much fun.”
“That’s what I hope too.  Of course, it wouldn’t be bad for Nicky to have a brother either.”
“So, should I take you out to lunch because you’re starving, or should I avoid talking about food because you can’t stand the thought of it?”
“Lunch, please.  Could we go to the Simmont Hotel?  I’m dying for a Waldorf salad.”
“Sounds good to me.”

Yay babies! And I guess your spares aren't bound by strict family values, but your main house is, so...not surprising Cindy is pregnant again while Viola isn't.

I love babies. I haven't actually gotten her pregnant again yet (need her to not be and not be SICK for another scene), but she will be.

Viola would have just had Shirley in this, and Nicky would be a toddler, so Viola hasn't really had the chance to get knocked up again. But I'm thinking I might want some of the more important spares to have more than one kid this generation, for the storylines I've got planned for generation 7.

Ahhhh. Might make some sense, anyway, since you've been cutting down your families recently - it wouldn't hurt for it to grow a little, or keep steady with two kids per family.
